Harassment and Sexual Misconduct Support

Dear MCR,

I hope you’re all well. I’m writing this email to let you know that we’ve recently added a new page to the MCR website, which contains information about different support resources for cases of harassment or sexual misconduct.

The MCR at Fitz is committed to being a respectful environment where everyone can feel safe and welcome. The MCR Committee stands by these ideals and is devoted to being a source of support should any act of discrimination, harassment or sexual misconduct be experienced by a member of our community. It is for this reason that we’ve created the new page on our website, which is available via the following link: http://mcr.fitz.cam.ac.uk/support/welfare-and-equality/sexual-misconduct-harassment/

The page provides guidance on where and how to find support for cases of harassment or sexual misconduct. We’ve also put up a couple of posters that explain the process to follow in order to report an act of this kind to Fitzwilliam College, as well the potential outcomes of the reporting procedure. There’s also some information about reporting incidents to the University of Cambridge. We sincerely hope no one will ever need this, but we’re aware that such unacceptable events could still present themselves and we considered it important to have all this information available in an accessible way.

If you have any questions or comments about this, don’t hesitate to get in touch: mcr.access.officer

Wish you all a nice week!

Best,

Eduardo Camarillo Abad

MCR Access Officer
