Events today

Dear Fitzbillies,
I hope you’ve had a great time at the Movie Theme Party yesterday and that you have managed to recover from it. The pinnacle of the Freshers’ week is happening tomorrow, but we also we have two very interesting events today.

The first event is a visit to the Fitzwilliam Museum at 2:30pm ( Fitzwilliam Museum is one of the most stunning places in Cambridge and you could spend an entire day there, wandering in your thoughts as you look through some truly magnificent items. Our Vice-President Jamie Gawith, who recently came back from serving as a Fitz Ambassador at a small startup in California called Apple, is going to meet you at the North Lodge at 2pm and lead the way. You could also meet him in front of the Fitz Museum at 2:30pm.

Our second event is the Pub Quiz at 19:30, led by our magnificent host TMB, a man who knows more trivia than he does Latin words (and trust me, he knows a lot). TMB will be joined by Jamie to create an evening full of friendly competitiveness and laughter. If you know or want to know the capital of Lesotho or if you are a science connoisseur who could easily name more than 5 mammals, this is an event for you! Free snacks will be served. The event will be held at the De Smith Room (place where we had Tea and Cake) and not in the Wilson Court Common Room, like the Freshers’ Week card says. Looking forward to seeing many of you there!
