Wren Library Tour
Monday October 2 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Join us as we tour one of Cambridge’s most treasured collections at the Wren Library.
“The library was completed in 1695 to the design of Sir Christopher Wren, who was responsible for the design of the building and also for the bookcases and furniture. Features of special interest include the decorative wood-carving by Grinling Gibbons, the marble busts of eminent Trinity men carved by Roubiliac and Scheemakers, the statue of Lord Byron by Bertel Thorvaldsen, and the south facing painted glass window by Giovanni Battista Cipriani. There are six exhibition cases in which a small fraction of the library’s treasures are on display.”
